Solar Powered Cell Phone Battery Released: Ready To Upgrade Battery Technology

Designed to rely on pure light power, Simon Wilby’s creation – The Smart One – is an invention that threatens to phase out conventional mobile phone batteries from the market in the future.

Smart Power Inc., the company that Simon Wilby established in Barbados, released this innovative battery early in 2009 though works concerning patents, designs and productions have been going on since late 2008. Now partnered with a foreign manufacturer, the company delivers its product to end-users as replacements for batteries and battery doors.

It works by replacing the original battery that comes with cell phone packages. By transferring the positive and negative connectors to the inside of the battery door and by attaching a plastic solar cell on the outside of the door, this device retrofits any models of cell phones in just under one minute. The result? An upgraded cell phone that runs on renewable energy.

The solar powered cell that The Smart One uses improves battery life by as much as 300%. It virtually outperforms all other conventional batteries available in the market today. In fact, its average talk time capacity equals to 3 cell phone batteries combined. It also has improved memory and better stability compliments of the lithium exon battery technology it uses.

Simon Wilby prepares for full swing operation soon to take advantage of the vast market of cell phone users worldwide.
